PageSync Example

To see PageSync in action, click a few of the links in the menu to the left (to open their pages into this frame). Then use your browser's Back button to step back and forward through those pages. As you do, you'll see the selected item on the menu change.

How does it work? This page contains an addition to its <body> tag: ONLOAD="top.selectItem(1)". The other pages loaded by the menu contain the same, with only the number in brackets changed. This calls a short piece of script in the head of the framesetting page, pagesyncex.htm, which passes the message to the applet named 'CoolStrip' in the frame named 'left'.
