This is PicStrip showing 9 images with almost every available option enabled: semi-transparent masks at either end of the applet; a white tint on mouse-over; and reaction to mouse movement by changing speed and direction.

The only option missing is that no selection border is shown around an image when the mouse moves over it.

All images are aligned to the top of the applet, and spaced by 10 pixels. The spacing can be changed to any amount, and images can be centered in the applet if preferred.
